Brief Childhood History:Born into a purely Muggle family, Harmony was exceptionally ordinary from the moment she was born. Her parents, Fred and Julie, own a bookstore in the tiny, close-knit village in which they live, and the family live above it in a two bedroom flat. Harmony is at her happiest when she has her nose in a book, or when playing at the park at the end of the street, or horse-riding with her 7-year-old sister, Melody.
Despite all of this, some children from the local Muggle primary school which she attended seemed to notice that there was something 'odd' about Harmony and began to bully her. Her self-esteem shattered, and she is no longer the confident, happy girl that she once was.
When Harmony received her Hogwarts letter, she was relieved more than anything; she would not have to go onto her local comprehensive school with the bullies from her village. Her biggest concerns were whether she would fit in, and the fact that she would have to leave Melody behind. Her parents were pleasantly surprised to have a witch in the family and encouraged her by accompanying her to Diagon Alley.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Harmony understands how it feels to be misunderstood and pushed out by others, and because of this she is kind and caring towards everybody and always gives people chances, even when no one else will. She has a knack for seeing the good in others, and this can be, at times, as much of a weakness as a strength, but Harmony does not see it in this way. She does not like to sit back and watch as someone is discriminated against for some reason or other, and will always stand up for someone in need, despite her shyness.
When she arrives at Hogwarts, despite fearing that she would be awful at everything because of her Muggle parentage, Harmony finds that she is a natural at Transfiguration, and has ability beyond what is expected for her age group. She is also good at History of Magic; she loves reading the books and finding out about witches and wizards long before her time. She read all of her set books before she arrived at Hogwarts.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Harmony is exceptionally shy, and will rarely speak to anyone unless she is spoken to first. This can be a huge disadvantage when it comes to making friends, and she is afraid she will be very lonely at Hogwarts without her younger sister. However, once she does get talking, her nervousness makes it difficult for her to stop and this often scares others away from her, making it even more difficult for her to make friends.
Harmony is awful at Herbology, as it is not a subject which she can get through with the help of a book; the strange plants overwhelm and scare her. Also, she has found that she is often paired up with others in Herbology and this makes her all the more nervous and more likely to fail.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Harmony, although very shy, can be brave when it comes to helping another person in their time of need. She will never sit back and allow another person to be bullied the way she was as a child. Also, she is quite clever as a result of the large amount of time she spends reading. These qualities indicate a place in either Ravenclaw or Gryffindor, however, her kind heart and way of not judging people, giving chances and never hurting anybody intentionally make her a true Hufflepuff through and through.
