Brief Childhood History:Bellatrix was born in Ireland but raised in newcastle for part of her life with her mother and brother, until she met her father who is also of pureblood decent. She lived with her mother and brother for such a long time because her mother and father did not get along at all and she blamed herself for that. Even though she was pureblood, Bellatrix grew up for the most of her life not knowing what magic was. It was only when her father came into her life that she found out that her and her brother where witch and wizard. She was rather angry at her mother for keeping such a big secret from her that she left her mothers care and moved to London with her father leaving her brother and friends from muggle school behind.
She learnt of her fathers higher status in the wizard world and used this to her advantage, she learnt how to use and abuse people for what she wanted and she definitely loved the attention of her father. She was not one of those people who would go out a lot and only needed few close friends. She was artistic and took to drawing and redrawing her fathers house, not brilliantly she could admit but it still was fun for her. Despite leaving her newcastle days behind her she still had her newcastle football jersey that was kept close for comfort.
Bellatrix never really spoke to her mother or brother after her move to London and she moved her muggle studies to London with her new life.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Bellatrix is able to admit that she has no real strong academic strengths but would do the best in defence against the dark arts or charms. She is a very charming girl and is quite artistic. She is self motivated and determined to achieve in the areas she enjoys. She is also a confident girl.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Bellatrix has no time for divination and doesn't see the point in muggle studies although the main subject she struggles with is transfiguration. Bellatrix's abandonment of her mother and brother does torment her and affects her decisions, so her personal weakness, in her eyes, would always be her close bond with her mother. Bella's other weaknesses would be tht she can be quite blunt with people and that may come off as her being a rude person.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Slytherin. It was the house of her father and Bellatrix believes that her power and ability to abuse people would make her fit well in with the other slytherins although her constant worry of her mother and brother lead the sorting hat to believe that gryfindor could have been an excellent choice, giving her the opportunity to show the hat how forceful she could to be to get where she wanted there fore showing it that slytherin was the place for her.
