Brief Childhood History:
Constantine was born inside the walls of Newcastle General Hospital in Newcastle, England. His parents were taking a short break from the wizarding world, and enjoying a short vacation throughout England when Constantine's mother's water broke. Constantine came out of his mother's womb on a cold day in February. He did not come out screaming and crying, however, which seemed to confuse the doctor and many of the nurses at the hospital. He was named after Constantine the Great, the roman emperor. His mother Alice and his father Jeffery both had very plain names, and agreed that their son should not have to suffice. Three days after Constantine was born, he was whisked home and sheltered carefully. The blonde trio spent their days in a quaint cottage outside of Godric's Hollow. His father worked at a post office, and his mother stayed and home and took care of young Constantine. He was little to no trouble at all.
Constantine's lack of emotion did not last long. As he began to age, he began to flourish. He was very polite to everyone he met, and very curious about everything he encountered. At the young age of 5 Constantine was introduced to his parent's grand piano. He practiced to himself every day until he learned "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". The song still remains Constantine's favorite to this very day. As he grew older, Constantine never fell far away from the piano, and it remained in the cottage's living room for the rest of his childhood days.
Before Constantine could even ride a bike, his father introduced him to a broomstick. He had went out and purchased Constantine a fairly decent broomstick, the Twigger 90. It was a knockoff brand of the Nimbus, but it still zoomed pretty fair. Constantine took flight almost instantly, and was extremely keen to flying. He began to use apples from the family's apple tree as quaffles, and threw them into buckets to score. Before he knew it, Constantine could sink them almost every time. He knew that when he grew older, he wanted to become a chaser, just like his father had been during his days in Hogwarts.
At the ripe age of 8, Constantine's family welcomed a new member. His little sister Caroline was introduced to the family. Constantine instantly fell in love with the little gem of a sibling. When Caroline cried in the middle of the night, Constantine was the first to rush to her side, and nurse her back to sleep. They became best friends. Constantine carried her around everywhere in the cottage, playing with her outside in the garden, inside in the playroom, and even in the attic, where they draped themselves with sheets and pretended to be ghosts. Constantine and Caroline were in love with one another, until nearly two years later, tragedy struck.
Constantine was practicing the piano when his father rushed in, tears streaming down his face. As he took a kneel, Constantine instantly knew something was wrong. His father explained to him that Caroline had been killed. His mother had taken her to the local lake to pick daises. The very first time Constantine's mother had her back turned, Caroline crawled to close to the lake, fell in, and drowned that very day. The funeral took place at the same lake she had died at. Constantine was the one who gracefully dumped her ashes into the lake. For one of the few times in his life, and the very first time since his childhood, tears began to stream down Constantine's face. He had lost the person that mattered most to him.
Since that day, Constantine was not the same person. He was no longer optimistic and exuberant constantly, but instead quiet and tended to keep to himself. He still played the piano, and still played Alice's and his favorite song, "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". He kept to his books and studies, and very rarely went outside. He became abnormally smart for his age, and could almost always school his father in a game of chess. His parents began to worry about him though. He very rarely spoke, and when he did it was quiet and short. He would eat his meals, then rush back up to his bedroom and his books. They knew he was not socially adapt, but could not blame him due to the circumstances.
When Constantine received his Hogwarts acceptance letter that he knew he would be arriving eventually, he leaped for joy for this first time since his sister had perished. This was his chance to show off his knowledge and his quidditch abilities. He was ready to get away from the house that constantly reminded him of Caroline and the times they shared together. He was ready for a new beginning. This would be his way of becoming the old Constantine all over again. Now it was finally his time to shine, like a diamond in the sky.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic):
Constantine is a very kind and polite human being. His parent raised him to be so. He never enjoyed much time outside, so his social skills have some lacking. What his social skills lack, his politeness and curiosity make up for. He never backs down from a conversation, and is always interested in meeting new people and, of course, making new friends.
As for academics, Constantine spent many a day locked in his bedroom with his books, doing nothing but studying and practicing them from day to night. He should excel in almost every class, but especially History of Magic. He has spent many a day reading his history books, fascinated by each and every even that took place in the wizarding world's past.
Also, Constantine spent much of his early childhood on the broomstick his father bought for him. His father taught him everything he knew about Quidditch and being a chaser, and Constantine listened to many a Quidditch match with his father over the radio. He absolutely adores the sport, and enjoys every minute he spends flying.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic):
Constantine tends to keep to himself, which doesn't necessarily pay off for him in the long run. The loss of his sister left Constantine very depressed and emotional for quite some time, but he hopes that Hogwarts will keep him fascinated enough to escape all of his troubles. He isn't the strongest kid for his age, due to his skinny size and lack of lifting weights or working out. Constantine never spent much time with kids his age, so he will have to adjust to living with and around children.
Academically, Constantine has very few weaknesses. He hasn't spent much time with a wand though, so the classes involving using it will challenge him for a while. Also, Constantine never really got a grasp for potions. He was never really quite interested in the ingredients and directions that came with making them, so he didn't spend much time fooling around with it.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: I think Constantine deems fit for Gryffindor, due to his nobleness and and bravery. He much admires the Gryffindor house, and has always longed to be in it.
