Brief Childhood History: Kate has spent nearly her whole life alternately trying to please her parents and avoid them. She is the typical overlooked middle child, with an older sister who is eighteen and a five-year old brother. Her parents don't really bother with what she is doing too much, so long as it doesn't interfere with their lives or their proper Pureblood 'image'.
Kate was born on the eighth of May during a thunderstorm. Because of this, she has always loved the rain. She spent her first years in Paris before her family moved back to England when she was three years old. She attended Muggle school until she was accepted at Hogwarts, first because her parents insisted on their children having a well rounded education, but soon, it was purely because Kate enjoyed it. She was always good at controlling her magic from a fairly young age, so there were few incidents in the Muggle world.
As she had been showing signs of magical ability since the age of five, nobody was surprised when she received a letter inviting her to Hogwarts the July she was eleven. Her parents did not make a big fuss over it, since it was just expected, but Kate was thrilled. She could finally get out of this house, where all she could do without her parents scolding her was be quiet, act polite, and sit in her room. She kept a countdown tacked to her wall for the next two months, waiting for the day when she could board the Hogwarts Express.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Academically, Kate has always been intelligent. If she didn't naturally do well in a subject, she always dedicated enough time so that she improved in that particular area. As far as magic goes, she has always been very interested in Charms, and she's talented in that area. Her strengths personality-wise include her intelligence and logic. She can keep calm in almost any situation and think of a solution. She's patient, as well as a good listener and hardworking.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): In class, Kate has always found it difficult when something is needed to be memorized rather than just understood. For that reason, she isn't very good at History of Magic. She also isn't skilled in Astronomy, since she prefers to star at the stars rather than focus and label them. Kate is also very shy, and doesn't express her opinions often, so she doesn't usually get her way, instead going along with what everyone else does. She doesn't have a very strong sense of self in general, even coming across as boring much of the time.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: I feel that Kate belongs in Ravenclaw because learning and school has really been the only thing she's ever been truly good at. She has always spent most of her time reading and learning about different topics that interest her. She is very philosophical, and is scolded often for becoming lost in her thoughts. Kate prefers to interact with books rather than people.
