Brief Childhood History: Veronica Emma Mason was born to Jonathan and Olivia Mason on May 14th*. Jonathan and Olivia had met a few years after graduating from their separate schools (Jonathan being a Muggle and Olivia being a witch). They got married soon after meeting and had their daughter only a year afterwards. A few weeks after Veronica's second birthday, the two realized their marriage wasn't working out, and divorced. Veronica's early childhood consisted of traveling between parents before she settled down in Wells, her birthplace, with her father, her less demanding parent.
While in Wells, Veronica attended Muggle school and made a few close friends. Her best friend, by far, is a girl named Ariana Jacobs. The two girls are exceedingly close and tell each other everything, aside from Veronica being a witch. When Veronica got her Hogwarts acceptance letter and told Ariana that she was going to start going to a different school, both girls were sad but then realized how fun it would be to send letters to each other throughout the year.
Though she is glad that she has been accepted to Hogwarts, she's worried that her attitude and personality will make it difficult for her to be Sorted and make friends.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Veronica is very interested in Astronomy and Potions. She had always loved going out during the summer and stargazing with her father, who taught her a lot about constellations and things of that nature. Also, ever since she can remember, she has been concocting things, whether in the kitchen with flour and eggs or outside with water and random plants. She is also very understanding and straightforward. If someone wants her honest opinion, she gives it to them whether it will hurt them or not, which can also be one of her negative personality traits.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Veronica can't Transfigure anything to save her life. She dislikes, and has trouble with, remembering difficult incantations for both Transfiguration and Charms work. Her negative personality traits include sometimes being rude or obnoxious, unintentionally offending others, being lazy, and not caring about taking risks or consequences. She sometimes has trouble applying herself, especially in things she doesn't find interesting.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: I think Veronica would fit best in either Gryffindor or Slytherin. I think she would make a good addition to Gryffindor House because she is very brave and isn't afraid to take risks or speak her mind, even if her opinion is different from everyone else's. I think she would fit in Slytherin House because she is clever and a tad devious.
