Brief Childhood History: Alexandra, better known as Alex, was born and raised in London as an only child to her parents Gregory and Abigail Beckett. She also lived with her aunt, uncle, and three cousins up until the time she entered Hogwarts. As she grew, she learned that family is everything. She is very protective of them, although she is rarely happy with any of them besides her cousin Philip.
You see, Alex has always had trouble listening to people of authority ever since she was small. This is mostly because of her Grandmother, who would treat her no better than a house elf, for she thought that children were only born to work. She resented her grandmother and rarely listens to anyone who attempt to give her a command of any sort.
She has also shown signs of magic since a very young age. Everything from changing her appearance randomly when her parents tried to control it (mainly her hair) to letting her cousins pets out without touching their cages in any way. She couldn't tell you the first time that she knew she could do magic, but her powers are definitely hard for her parents to restrain so she is rarely allowed off her own property.
Although she has trouble with obeying her higher-ups, Alex has always been eager for knowledge. She learns fast and is a quick study, and she couldn't wait for her Hogwarts letter. When it did arrive, she had her trunk packed and ready months before school was in session.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Alex loves school, and she works hard in her studies. Her favorite classes include Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, and Potions. Although she has issues with authority, she is very kind to her peers and her sense of loyalty and trust to anyone she calls a friend is astounding. She also has a rather uncanny ability to wait as long as she has to for something that she wants and has proven in the past how dedicated she is to the things she finds are worthwhile.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Alex's obvious lack of discipline around any commanding figure creates many problems for her. She also tends to judge people by appearance and she has trouble socially connecting with kids. Not only that, but she has the tendency to change her mind at the drop of a hat. Alex may be one smart cookie but she can't make head nor tails of Herbology or Astronomy. Or most anything to do with the natural world for that matter.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: I think that Alex would be best placed in Hufflepuff, because not only is she patient and dedicated, she is also one of the most honest and loyal girls around.
