Brief Family History: Evan splits his time between his father in their London flat and his grandparents’ house in Cardiff, Wales. Evan’s father, Elliot Bernhardt, is a Wizarding private investigator, and he travels a lot on business. When Evan’s father is around, he puts his foot down a lot when Evan does things that are stupid, dangerous, or things. On the other hand, his grandparents, Craig and Bernadette Bernhardt, whom he lives with when his father is away, generally let him do what ever he wants, when he wants. Craig and Bernadette tend to spoil him and get him what ever he wants as well, mainly because they feel guilty that his father is so busy and he doesn’t make tons of money so he can spoil Evan on his own. He has no siblings, but quite a few cousins that he does enjoy spending time with when they come to visit their grandparents. Sadly, most of his cousins are older than him and are slowly drifting away from him.
On the other hand, Evan has no idea who his mother is, or if she was a witch or Muggle. His father keeps that information to himself, but Evan does know that this much is true: when he was born, Elliot begged for custody of him. Sometimes Evan notices that his father mentions his mother from time to time, so he knows little odd bits about her: he knows that she was attractive, he knows that she was a blonde, and that she was outgoing. He doesn’t know her or her family’s last name, or anything else about her-- not even if she was a witch or not. Evan isn’t without a mother figure though; he sees his father’s serious on and off girlfriend, Deidre Macintosh, like a stepmother.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Evan’s greatest personality traits are his tenacity(or maybe it’s really stubbornness) and his fierce loyalty to others. If you’re a good friend of his, or even a just a housemate, he’ll stick up for them no matter what, and if there’s something he wants to do-- he’ll keep on doing it until he gets the results he wants. He’s also brave-- although, you’d have to be brave to be a skateboarder. When it comes to school work, I believe that he’s going to be best at DADA because he’s not afraid to just go in there and do whatever it is he needs to do. He’ll be better at wandwork rather than bookwork because he just doesn’t have the attention span for that.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): One of Evan’s worst personality traits is the fact that he’s impulsive and he doesn’t quite think out things before that he does them. If he gets it in his head that he’s going to do something, he goes ahead and does it, even if it’s a terrible idea. He’s also mean and aggressive, and he doesn’t care about other people’s feelings. As for academics, Evan will flat out suck when it comes to Herbology and History of Magic. He just doesn’t get book work and could careless about plants. And then there’s the fact that he’s average when it comes to intelligence; if he was to study, he’d make above average grades, but since he hates to study he just makes ho-hum grades.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Evan is a Gryffindor; stubborn, loyal, courageous, brave-- he’s a little ambitious or all that cunning, so Slytherin is almost a fit but not as perfect as Gryffindor. And…he just would not fit in in Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff.
