Brief Family History:
Elizabeth was born in a sturdy household. Her mother’s name is Catherine, and her father’s name is Daniel. Both of her parents are magical, and therefore she had never really experienced the muggle world. All of her relatives are pure-bloods, and Elizabeth lives in the part of the area where pretty much everybody is magical. She has very little knowledge of muggles and how they live, and will probably be very excited to start doing Muggle Studies in her third year. Her parents usually get along well, however her father believes that one should not interact with muggles, while her mother believes that they are perfectly fine, and is quite amazed at how they live without magic. Despite this small conflict, both her parents manage to sort out their differences, and don't really talk about those subjects around Elizabeth anyway.
Because she grew up around wizards and witches, Elizabeth knows all about Quidditch, and would probably like to try flying once she gets to Hogwarts. Unfortunately, all her knowledge about Quidditch comes from her mother’s side uncle, who adores the sport and plays on a professional team. Her father discourages her actually flying on a broom, because he believes that girls should not play sports like that, and that Elizabeth should try and act like a lady for once in her life. Elizabeth plans to disobey her father, because she doesn't like being told what she can't do, and instead is probably going to try and do all the Quidditch she can do, just to prove him wrong.
Growing up, Elizabeth was a child who loved getting dirty. Even though she is quite pretty, she didn't really care about her looks, (obviously not at that age), and didn't care if she was covered in dirt from playing in the sand, or anything like that. Her father disapproved, and from then on he had been quite strict with both Elizabeth and her younger sister Donna. Donna is 4 years younger than Elizabeth, and Elizabeth loves her young sister quite dearly. She cannot wait until she comes to Hogwarts too, but right now Elizabeth is more focused on her own journey.
When Elizabeth received her letter to Hogwarts, the whole family went shopping. Elizabeth wanted an owl, or even a rat; any kind of animal, for she loves animals, but her dad despises them and the mess they make so he didn't allow it. Her mother secretly wants her daughter to have an owl though, and plans to send her one to Hogwarts once the first few months have started. Elizabeth cannot wait to get out of her boring home, and into the exciting life of Hogwarts.
Strengths:
One of Elizabeth's strengths is that she is a very smart young girl, and will do almost everything to make sure she is top of the class. She thrives on learning new things, as well as doing her homework on time. Elizabeth loves classes, and enjoys the nice environment that the classroom gives her, which is something that she usually doesn't get at home. She is also someone who likes to keep things in order, and can't stand it when something (or someone) is unorganized. Unlike many young girls, Elizabeth is someone who can fend for herself, and takes pride in knowing that. Elizabeth is someone who doesn't put her trust in people very easily. She needs to become their friend, and become close with them to really understand if they are someone worth trusting. She can be very outgoing with her close friends however, and as she grows older she will probably learn to just live without all the tension around other people. Her trust factor is a great strength, however, because that way she is very sure of her friends and of herself as a person. But again this can also be a weakness.
Weaknesses:
As mentioned above, Elizabeth is careful about whom she trusts, and the process in which she looks at friendships can be quite complicated. This can be a weakness because this will affect her social skills as soon as she enters Hogwarts, especially since first years usually need to feel some kind of connection with other first years since they are the youngest in the school. Something that can be included in her weaknesses is the fact that Elizabeth sometimes doesn't realize that, when people are telling her that she is wrong, that this is the way how to do certain things, they are really just trying to help her. She enjoys finding things out on her own, and doesn't like to be told that she is doing something wrong. This will probably improve her ability to get along with others as the time goes on, but there are just times when Elizabeth needs to learn to open her mind a little bit.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:
Elizabeth would be best suited in the house of Ravenclaw because of the many aspects in which are described above. She is a smart, sensible girl, who is ambitious, and loves learning. Not only is she smart academically, which is a common trait for girls in the Ravenclaw house, but she also has a good idea of her own common sense, and is very logical. She sometimes realizes things that other people can't see even when it is right in front of them. She is known to be wise at her young age, and her mother tells her this often. Elizabeth can take care of herself.
