Name: Myleeta Preevjit (Mylee is fine also)
Bloodline: Muggle-born
Physical Description: Myleeta is a little taller than average, but not very very tall. She currently has long dark brown hair and brown eyes. She has tanned skin and thin lips, and she is a little skinny but has a chubby face.
History: Mylee was born and raised in Leeds. She is the middle child of the three children of Anupam and Archie Preevjit. Her older sister is 21 and studying medicine in Sussex University. Her name is Priya, obviously with such a larg age gap, she and Mylee have hardly ever seen eye-to-eye. Mylee's younger sibling is her brother named Naynesh, he is seven. He and Mylee are much closer, Mylee always wanting to care and baby her younger brother (although sometimes she babies him because it annoys her older sister).
Her mother is a florist, aged 41. Her father is a doctor, aged 47. Neither of them expected to have a magical child like Myleeta and neither of them were happy when not only did she start causing powercuts with her mood swings, but was invited to attend a magical school. They wanted their daughter to basically be your average muggle girl, who grew up to have a respectable job (wizarding jobs aren't respectable in thier opinion, even thought they don't know what kinds of jobs wizards have). However, they have witnessed enough magical catastrophe's from Mylee to know that the wisest thing to do in order to protect thier family from any kind of embarassment, is to send Mylee to a wizarding school for as long as it takes for her to get her magical capabilities under control.
Mylee wanted to attend Hogwarts from the moment she saw the acceptance letter. She was always wanting to try new things and break away from all the traditional values that her family held so dear. Her parents suspect it's because of her Aunt Guppy's influence. Mylee's aunt is only 18 (19 soon) making her younger than Mylee's oldest sister, and for some reason easier for Mylee to talk to. Aunt Guppy had always wanted to break away from tradition, in fact she did, becoming the first model in her family. She also wants to start up her band sometime soon, she is definitely one of those 'thinks after she leaps' kind of people and Mylee tries her best to act the same. Mylee adores her greatly because her Aunt Guppy is Mylee's version of 'cool'.
Mylee is very outspoken, bold and lively, these are the qualities she most adores in herself and Aunt Guppy, but if she were to be accepted, she would be living in constant fear of her parents pulling her out of Hogwarts. Obviously Mylee's Aunt will try to keep her in Hogwarts as long as Mylee's parents listen to her advice on how to deal with Mylee (they regularly turn to her for advice on that, but that only) however Guppy's young age and rebeliousness don't work in her favour. If it wasn't for Guppy's ability to convince them that Mylee needed hogwarts in order to control her powers (she wasn't sure if was true or not at the time) Mylee wouldn't be attending in the first place.
Strengths: Mylee is a person who is very determined to get her own way, and to reach the goals she has set for herself in her own way. She is a very driven individual and tries to be inspiring. She tries to be inspiring for two reasons, 1. she finds Guppy the most inspiring woman she knows and 2. she wishes to be a role-model for her brother.
Also, as said above, Mylee is a bold, outspoken and lively individual, or she tries to represent herself as such. But sometimes this can work against her.
Weaknesses: Mylee. Is. Stubborn. She tries her best to be caring, but she refuses to budge on a viewpoint if it conflicts with her goals.
She can be taken for being arrogant. Coming froma family like hers, she's always been taught to be proud of who she is. However...sometimes that pride can be a little unbearable.
Younger students. It might not be a weakness now (as she is a younger student) but as Mylee gets older, and begins to miss her brother as she always will when she's away, she will want to take care of and defend younger students.
House: I feel Mylee is best suited for Gryffindor, as she carries many of that houses traits and I think these are generally the kind of people Myleeta would fit in with.
