Brief Childhood History: Serena grew up with her parents Victoria and Robert, both of magical heritage, in a townhouse in the bustling city of London. However despite their bloodline, Serena lived a mostly sheltered life from the rest of the wizarding world. This was mostly due to an unfortunate tragedy that occurred when she was just a wee little tot. Her cousin Serena Tyler, whom she was named after, was killed by a Death Eater while protecting her sister Alissa. Naturally, Serena’s parents had known of the dangers of their world, particularly during that time. Having it affect their family, instilled a deep sense of the need to protect their daughter of a similar darkness overshadowing her future. Although sheltered, Serena was trained well in the arts of being a sensible and quick-witted witch. Her father often studied with the young girl in his spare time, despite her mother’s disapproval, in order to better prepare her for any obstacles that may arise in her future. So when the inevitable time came, and an owl paid a visit to the Harrington’s door, Serena - although slightly disabled in physically exploring the world of her magical culture, knew quite enough about it to be the strong witch her parents hope her to eventually become.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Serena’s childlike sense of wonder and curiosity has traveled with her into her elder years. She is slightly shy in nature however once befriended she is found to have a surprisingly dry sense of humor - often brimming with a great deal of sarcasm. It is all in good jest however, most find her to be quite friendly, with a slightly overreactive imagination - something that is poured into her writings, a beloved hobby of hers. As far as academics go, Serena is equally inquisitive, showing a great interests in the field of Transfiguration and Charms.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): As previously mentioned, Serena is quite shy which can sometimes be mistaken for being rude or stuck-up. She also has quite the tendency to space out, and become lost in her own thoughts. This hasn’t been helping her marks in Potions, which is a subject she would do well to study a bit more in.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Serena’s wit fused with her inquisitiveness would most likely either place her under the House of Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. Her sheer wit and quick thinking touches upon the core values of Ravenclaw. However, her openness to new adventures and mantra of treating life as an open book is comparable to a Gryffindor’s nature. Either would enlighten her strengths and build her weakness and would prove quite suitable.
