Brief Childhood History: As far as childhoods go, Aaron's could have been better. Even so, he is likely to be the last person you would find complaining about it.  As a young boy, he spent most of his time trying to stay out from under his parents feet and not get in the way of one of his older sisters. His mother, a professional Quidditch player with Puddlemere United, rarely had time for Aaron as a boy due to her work commitments. Although his father did spend a lot more time around the house, he was a well-renowned medi-wizard and was always on call to attend emergencies at St Mungos.

With little supervision and not much direction, Aaron found himself spending most of his time reading or drawing. From about the age of four, the young boy found himself completely obsessed with magical creatures of all forms. He had carefully read the various care of magical creatures textbooks that his sisters brought home from Hogwarts, much to the amusement of the older girls. As a result of this, he started collecting magical models of various magical creatures, and has a fairly extensive collection of everything from basilisks, to dragons and unicorns.

His two sisters were much older than he was and due to graduate from Hogwarts soon. As the baby in the family, he was more or less given whatever he wanted without too much fuss, especially by the two Gryffindor girls. During the Quidditch off-seasons, Aaron's mother took a great deal of delight in trying to teach the principles of the game to her baby boy. His mother was a Keeper, and both of his sisters had played as Chasers for the Gryffindor team, so it was more or less expected that he would continue the family tradition. With all of the training, Aaron eventually started to at least somewhat understand how to play, though he was always embarrassed by how easily his family members beat him when they played.

On receiving his Hogwarts letter, his family celebrated by taking him down to Diagon Alley. In addition to all of the school supplies, he was also bought a tiny grey cat, which he immediately named Soot, and a whole myriad of books on Quidditch and a couple on basic healing spells, courtesy of his father. His mother and sisters spent the next few weeks terrorising him about what he would have to do to be sorted, and extolling the many virtues of Gryffindor house. Aaron didn't think he was anywhere near brave enough to be a Gryffindor, but he supposed he should do what his family wanted.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Loyal to a tee and usually fairly well mannered, Aaron is probably one of the most polite and well meaning boys you will ever meet. He takes things like family and friends very seriously and would sooner be expelled or punished himself than betray them. He excels in his Care of Magical Creatures classes as well as in Charms, Transfiguration and Flying when it is offered. Aaron is much more creative than analytical, so he finds creating and learning new spells very easy. He also tends to perform fairly well in practical examinations. In addition to this, he also has something of a flair for healing magic - something that his father has been trying to teach him since he was very young.

Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): While he is friendly and usually a pretty trusting and loyal guy, bravery is not exactly a trait which one would associate with Aaron. Raised in a household where all he had to do to get his problems dealt with was talk to one of his sisters or his parents, he tends to rely on others a bit more than he should. In class, he tends to do very poorly in Potions and Astronomy, both of which require a large amount of mathematics and precision to get right. He also tends to struggle a lot with essays and written tests, as putting his ideas down on paper is something that Aaron often struggles with. Some might also accuse him of being a little bit too trusting and not wary enough of others intentions – he tends to always believe the best of people, until proven otherwise. Aaron also has a somewhat irrational fear of ghosts. This makes history of magic lessons and being at Hogwarts in general difficult at times.

What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Despite his families wishes for him to be a Gryffindor, I believe Aaron would fit best in Hufflepuff. Loyal and friendly, he displays traits more akin with a badger than with a gryffin. Aaron is usually fairly hard-working, when he is pursuing something he is passionate about. Seeing as he is willing to trust almost anyone and forgive all but the worst of acts, he has a personality that I think best suits him for the black and yellow. He also does not possess the academic prowess necessary for a Ravenclaw or the cunning needed in a Slytherin, making both of those houses unsuitable as well.
