Brief Childhood History:Anna grew up in the city, in a tiny townhouse surrounded by history.Which was why her parents moved here after they got married.Her father was a historian, particularly fascinated by architecture. A subject on which he could (and often did) go on about for hours. Needless to say, Anna spent a good part of her childhood patiently listening to him ramble like the typical absentminded professor. At times his research completely took over her and her mother's lives.But one thing Anna got from all this, was that there is alot more going on in the world than we think there is. She learned to be more alert, more observant. Ask questions. Look for answers in places that most people wouldn't think of. Everywhere she went she listened. From shops to the cinema to the local primary school she attended and back home. Her friends thought it was a little weird, those times when she drifted off. It was as though she went someplace else, staring at nothing like that.At such times they quickly yanked her back into the real world. Interjecting a joke into the lull of conversation.Or pulling some jacks from their pocket. Anna knew she should be grateful. They were only trying to help her have fun. But she just didn't see things the way they did. And often wondered if she was normal...
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic):Anna is exceptionally kind, seeing the good in everyone. Perhaps most especially when they could not see it in themselves. Her ability to see both sides of an argument often made her the peacemaker amongst her friends. Anna's intuitive bent allows her to be comfortable with uncertainty and less linear ways of thinking; making it possible to take leaps of imagination leading to unconventional solutions.This points to her potential to excel in divination and transfiguration, as odd as it may seem to place the two classes together. For the time being she is average in all of her classes except for history of magic. She's not great at it but does slightly better than most, having had so much practice in the subject. Having a history professor for a father does have it's advantages...
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic):Believing the best in everyone can mean Anna is a bit naive. Sometimes blinding her to unpleasant truths. She will accept people, often to the point of being a doormat. She really has to work for the detail, precision, and hard logic piece of certain subjects, like potions and astronomy. But where her difficulty shows itself most is in Arithmacy and flying. Arithmacy because she often can't explain how she reached a certain conclusion. Flying because she reacts too slowly and is a bit clumsy.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:Anna is a little insecure. And like many students she imagines what it might be like if she were braver, smarter, or stronger than she is. For that reason she is drawn to Gryffindor. But where I think she truly shines is in Hufflepuff. She likes to bring out the best in people who feel forgotten. People who feel like nobody cares about them. Anna will give anyone an chance. And sometimes, they surprise her...
