First and Last Name: Lucy Morgan

Bloodline: Muggle-born
Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Blue
General Build: Petite
Height: Average

Birthplace: London, England
Brief Childhood History:

As her magical ability came as a surprise to her family after Lucy turned eleven, Lucy spent much of her childhood prior to Hogwarts going to a Muggle school, where she excelled at grammar, but failed at pretty much anything else, most especially in her maths and sciences. Because of this, she was a frustrated student growing up, having to spend her summers taking remedial classes and being mocked by her older siblings -- two brothers named Bruce and Vincent, who had most certainly never had to take remedial lessons for anything. Lucy had two close friends growing up, Mary and Nicole, whom she kept very close to herself and liked to have around at home so as to surround herself with others that would help defend her from her brothers, who liked to pick on her much. Lucy comes from an average income family, but has received most of her things second-hand from her brothers, including t-shirts, and has sometimes wished that her father gave up his job in a bank and did something that produced more money, like a famous musician. Lucy's mother has been a stay-at-home mother for as long as Lucy remembers. Both Lucy and her family were skeptical about Hogwarts when she received her letter, although now that she's done her Diagon shopping and seems more sure that it is real, Lucy is brimming with the knowledge that she can do lots of things that no one else in her family -- especially her brothers -- can do.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic):

Lucy, academically, has faced challenges outside of English and grammar, though she isn't too bad either in history, as it can interest her. That, however, has only to do with her Muggle schooling, and once she arrives at Hogwarts, her higher marks will come from History of Magic and Transfiguration. She is, however, much better with theoretical work than practical -- meaning that she is more likely to get her highest marks from the essay work than from practical practices in lessons, even among her Transfiguration lessons. Her favorite work in Muggle school was the essay work in her English lessons, so it's bound to be that she does well completing essays at Hogwarts on time (even if the content/answers in her essays can be marked wrong, as can be the case very much if it's for one of her weaker classes). As for her personality, Lucy is fond of meeting people, as she hopes to meet ones that will like her, and she tends to like challenges and games if anyone invites her to any. She's cheerful, however…

Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic):

…Lucy can also be quite judgmental. While she likes to meet new people, she can be picky or selective about which ones she decides to like or not, and she can also get quite critical about others, whether it be about their appearances, or something they did or said. Academically, her strongest weaknesses are Potions and Herbology. She can't seem to find the patience for cooking up potions (and she hates handling the icky ingredients), and Herbology… well, she isn't very interested in plants.

What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Possibly Slytherin, although the house traits would be subtle in her. Lucy is ambitious -- if her father couldn't have a job that produced more money and gave her more things (new things, and not secondhand things), then she would have liked to grow up and be that something more, career-wise, that her father couldn't be. She expects that, because she wasn't very good in Muggle school, that it means she should be good in magical school, even if that won't always be the case, as -- even for as ambitious as she might be -- she doesn't like hard work. And, just as she liked to surround herself with her two childhood friends to limit the times her brothers picked on her if she wasn't alone, she prefers to be around people that will protect her from things rather than face things alone by herself. It means she isn't very brave, even if she pretends to be, and she doesn't seek knowledge -- not unless it provides her an "easy" route to accomplish things, such as learning ways to nicely manipulate people into giving her what she wants.
