Brief Childhood History: Eponine’s father is descended from pure blood lineage who was from overseas before settling in England. Her father’s family liked to fly out of radar, having no desire to be under scrutiny present in some pure blood families. He married Eponine’s mother, who was a muggle and knew nothing about her husband’s heritage. Never have met her father, Eponine was told that he was gone from an accident. As a result, her childhood had no magical presence.
Before receiving her letter of acceptance, Eponine was bored from her school as she felt many of the classes she was taking could be applied little to life and so was often sleeping in class and as result receiving grades that only guarantee passes to upper levels that greatly disappointed her mother. It was not until by the end of the school year, she had at least some of excitement when she had broken the rules by defending her friend. This broke the camel’s back as her mother had tried to send her to boarding school to discipline her. Although the idea was granted, it was not what was her mother expecting.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Eponine could be regarded as loyal to the people she considers important in her life. Despite her subpar to average grades, she can be intelligent. Her areas would lie in potions and transfigurations, both subjects which she found exciting and thus willing to excel in those areas. She is fascinated by changes by one’s power. When she puts forth the effort, the results can be remarkable. Neither very shy or outgoing, she has a balance on the sociability scale.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Her laziness had hindered her, especially on subjects she considered boring or pointless such as History of Magic and Divination. Additionally, she not much vulnerable to negative shocks that would damage her self esteem since she usually attributed to results as either impossible to control or not important enough to faze her. Some would consider her a bit arrogant.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:At this point, she has no idea of what to do with her life and is not particularly cunning so that rules out Slytherin. Her laziness prevents from being in Hufflepuff and her restrictive curiosity on learning does not put her in Ravenclaw. Additionally, she would hate to answer riddles every time. Gryffindor would probably her best bet since sometimes her antics could be classified as daring.
