First and Last Name: Eponine Walker

Bloodline: Muggle Born
Hair Color: Light Blonde
Eye Color: Green
General Build: Average
Height: Average

Birthplace: London, England
Brief Childhood History:
Eponine was born to two Muggles, Patrick and Grace Walker, on June 21st, and spent her first 11 years as a Muggle. Her father is an important government official and her mother is a detective at Scotland Yard. As her father was away on business most of the time, and her mother worked crazy hours at her own job, Eponine attended a primary boarding school prior to Hogwarts, and was somewhat of an outcast. She was teased for being a daydreamer and for being “weird”. She didn’t take that very well, so she often got into fights. Because she won every fight she was in no matter what the odds were (though she was pretty strong for her size), most people became frightened and stayed away from her, so she didn’t have any close friends.
She didn’t like the fact that others were frightened of her, but she wasn’t good at “ignoring” when she couldn’t get out of a situation (like in class or the playground), and refused to “tattle” on others, not wanting to feel like she was weak and couldn’t handle situations herself. So more often than not, her anger seemed to burst out of her, and that’s when a fight would start. When she was able to walk away though, she tried to take the high road (though that didn’t work out most of the time, either).
Even though she was a “troublemaker” at school, she was still her daddy’s little girl (when he was around), because fighting, although not “positive”, was still “normal” for kids her age. Her father prided himself and his family on being “normal”. Imagination and stuff was all right, as long as everyone could distinguish it from reality. Her father was never around when her magic showed itself, though.
Mr. Walker’s loving attitude- toward both his daughter and his wife- changed 360 degrees on Eponine’s 11th birthday. A worker from the Ministry of Magic’s Muggle Liaison Office came to deliver Eponine’s Hogwarts letter and explained what Eponine was. Once they believed it, her mother was happily excited for her daughter, but her father was revolted. However, since he was an important government official, a divorce- quiet or otherwise- was out of the question. So Eponine’s mother moved into one of the spare rooms, and (when out of the public eye) Eponine’s father treated them both with distain and loathing.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic):
Eponine is brave, funny, and harmlessly mischievous (most of the time). She can outdo most people in a battle of insults, as she is clever with comebacks. She’s a fair student, though she tends to leave homework until the last minute. She usually passes, though. Her father’s attitude and the way she was treated at Muggle school taught her to be open-minded, because she didn’t want anyone to feel the way she felt because of her. Academically, she excels the most when classes are active (practical). So naturally, her best subjects are Potions and Herbology. Transfiguration is another class she excels at as well.

Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic):
Eponine, while a good person, also has her faults. She can be a bit of a trouble-maker, and as mentioned above, she tends to procrastinate on her schoolwork. She also has a fiery temper. Although she has a sense of humor, she will lash out at you if she knows you are being rude/mean on purpose, and she always has to have the last word. And if she doesn’t like you, it’s really hard to change her opinion of you. As she is easily bored in classes that are predominately theory, she doesn’t do well in History of Magic or Astronomy.

What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:
I think Eponine would do best in Gryffindor. Although she does fairly well with schoolwork, she doesn’t really care about grades. As long as she passes she’s good. She also lets her temper get the best of her, clouding her rational side (which is almost non-existent to begin with).  She is also reckless and a bit prideful, becoming a brat at times. She has control issues, not letting anyone or anything change her opinions, beliefs, or actions except for herself. She’s really hard to bully, and she doesn’t have a problem standing up to others if she believes it’s the right thing to do.
