Brief Childhood History: Jay was born and raised in Bristol, into a family of wizards. His father, Simon Cartwright, worked for the Ministry of Magic as an Auror, while his mother, Carli Cartwright, worked in the Office of the Minister of Magic. Simon was the serious one in the family. He kept a very close watch on everything. Carli was the fun loving one in the family. She tried to make Jay's life a good one. They never told Jay about the wizarding world until he was ready.
Jay was sent to a muggle school, which he hated very much. The teachers were mean to all the students, and he was bullied by someone older than him. Jay was still courageous enough to stand up to his bully. At the age of 7, that was when he discovered that he was a wizard. He was challenged to a fight by the bully. Jay accepted, and in a split second, the bully's underwear gave him (the bully) a wedgie. Jay's parents finally told him the truth about him being a wizard. When he was 11, he received a letter from Hogwarts. He was very excited that day.
Strengths: Jay is a nice, courageous, caring boy. He is able to make friends easily, and can make people happy. Jay also has the urge to help someone when they need it. In school, he is good at Defense Against the Dark Arts and Charms.
Weaknesses: Jay can lose his temper when he sees bullying, especially to others. He becomes very dangerous when he is angry. He can take a practical joke very seriously, and make a rash decision. In school, he is terrible at History of Magic and Ancient Ruins.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Jay belongs in Gryffindor, since he is friendly and courageous. He is not afraid to stand up to someone. He is protective as well of his family and friends.
