Brief Childhood History:
Emerson's parents are both purebloods and he therefor had a magical upbringing. His father was born in London and was once quite the Quidditch star. He now works for the ministry in the Department of Magical Games and Sports. His mother is unemployed.
Emerson grew up with the expectations of becoming a Quidditch star, just like his father. His interests contradicted his fathers wishes. He prefers to listen to music and such. He even found himself making friends with muggle musicians around town. Although his parents love him very much, his father considers him quite the disappointment. He is an only child, therefor much of his father's pressure lands on Emerson's shoulders. Emerson did try to follow through with his father's wishes, but his lanky build and extreme clumsiness stopped him from doing so. On occasion, he'll throw a quaffle with his father, but that is the extend of his talent.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic):
Emerson enjoys music, and is mildly skilled at the guitar, although too shy to play in front of anyone. He is also a great listener, and is great at giving advice when someone needs it. Although it might not seem it on the outside, Emerson is actually quite the conversationalist when he’s feeling confident. Emerson's favorite subject is Charms, and hopes to use this in his career. He also excels in Defense Against the Dark Arts. Along with hanging out with muggles, he learned quite a bit about them, and hopes to excel in Muggle Studies.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic):
Emerson is relatively shy when there are more than two people listening to what he has to say, and feels extremely self-conscious. Although he is only shy, this flaw often comes off as rude. To avoid being called “shy”, he often plays up his rude self. When Emerson doesn't like someone, he makes sure they know and is often a little too blunt with them (only when the two of them are alone, of course). Miserably, he does horribly in Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures as both are related to nature, and Emerson does not like nature. Along with hating nature, he doesn’t care whatsoever about Astronomy.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:
I feel Emerson belongs in Hufflepuff. He is (mostly) accepting of everyone and tries his best to give off a good impression of himself. His mother was a Hufflepuff and would very much like to follow in her footsteps.
