First and Last Name: Donald Lowsly

Bloodline: Muggle born
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Green
General Build: large
Height: tall

Birthplace: Cardif, Wales
Brief Childhood History:

Donald was born to a muggle family in Wales, his father a postman, his mother an assistant at a pharmacy. They were not very well off, yet the family was a happy one, enjoying what little vacations they could afford, and getting the most out of everyday. His parents instilled in Donald a sense of joy, that the best job and occupation you can do is to enjoy yourself. Which he did not do at school. Donald is somewhat slow to understand abstract concepts, and for a while he hated studying very much. When his parents confronted and comforted him over this, he yelled at them, and as a 7-year old, started crying. He felt miserable for falling behind, and felt whatever he did, it would not work. His parents encouraged him to try harder, because if he studied well, more options will be available for him, more careers where he can enjoy himself. So Donald threw himself into studying like nothing else, and soon managed to become a decent student. Not at outstanding one, but a decent one at least.

But his childhood was not all about studying and family of course, he had friends. Who were his friends because he was big. Quite big for his age. His peers often looked for protection for him to protect them from bullies, which he reluctantly did. He managed to land in trouble because of this as often as the bullies themselves, so it did not help his academic career. His parents knew the issue, and tried to fight the teachers and administration, trying to get them to understand that he was merely defending others, not instigating all that trouble. Sadly, not many agreed.

So his brief school life of studying and fighting came to an end one day, when Mickey, one of his so-called friends ran to him to report that Big Nosed Billy is picking on them again. Donald grudgingly went with him, he much rather have sat in his favorite spot and study, but he knew that he would be blamed for whatever happened if he didn't go. Billy's nose wasn't the only thing big about him either, he was Donald's senior by two years, and easily matched him for size. The Fight was epic, for the standards of elementary schoolers. When all seemed lost, and Billy seemed to win, Donald managed to cuff him on his right ear, putting all his frustration and anger in it. And voila, the ear managed to turn into a small elephant ear. Everybody was shocked for a while, and Billy soon ran crying to the teachers, who while not knowing what happened, believed him and found Donald and accused him of picking fights on smaller people (as if Billy was smaller than a truck, Donald thought at the time).

The following days and weeks blurred by, the principal was fed up by "Donald's insubordination and disrespect towards his peers and authority." Not too surprisingly, none of the boys Donald has protected stepped up to testify on what actually happened, and later even started accusing him of picking the fight just to be cruel to Billy, who was the martyr of the school, nay, the school district by then. Despite his diligent and studious nature, his actual grades were uneven, so nothing was protecting him on that front, and his parents being of a poorer variety, could not 'donate' to the school, so little Donald was promptly expelled. Just when all seemed lost did an owl bring a letter from a distant school called Hogwarts, where Donald's strange gifts could be honed and tuned, not to mention where he might find some friends and fun.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic):
First of all, Donald is big. While after his last experience he'd rather stay out of fist fights, even in a magical duel it will take a few hexes for him to stay down. He is also, as mentioned, studious, sitting on his homework for a long time, to achieve the best grades he can. He has an instinctual knack for Transfiguration, but he still has problems with text book studying the material despite that. He also stands up for those he perceives friends, no matter the actual relationship between them.

Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): He has problems grasping certain academic and abstract concepts, and memorizing long lists has never been his forte, so History of Magic and Charms will prove to be a challenge for him. He is also somewhat wary of people wanting to be his friends after the last little fiasco at school. He is also slow to open up to others, ever since he was young, his parents were his best friends. Now that he is removed from them he feels alone.

What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Hufflepuff, because he is not the best nor brightest student, while not a coward, does not seek adventure that much, and he needs a place where he will be accepted and befriended for his personality, not belittled for being a slow learner, or befriended because he is big and strong.

Hi there! Welcome to HPRPG!

Before we can sort you, there are just a couple of little things to attend to.

First, your account says 'Lowsly' but the applications says 'Lowlsy', if you could clear that up for us, it would be great. Second, please adjust the bolding at the top of the sheet so that only the section starters are coded. Third, give us a specific core class that Donald would have trouble with in the weaknesses section. ;)

Once you've done that, just change the title from 'pending' to 'edited'!
