Brief Childhood History: Born just outside Northampton, Eden was the only child of Victoria and Dorian Patel. She was the pride and joy of her mother; however her father was not as pleased when he found out about his daughter's birth. Dorian always wanted a son to inherit all his wealth and follow his footsteps as an Obliviator. Because of this Eden was constantly reminded that she was not the son her father wanted.
When Eden was three years old her mother died while giving birth to her brother. The boy died a few days later after being put to sleep in his cot. This traumatic experience pushed Dorian even further away from his daughter. Even though Eden did not remember her mother, every time he looked at her- he saw Victoria. With her father shunned away, Eden's only friend and parental figure was her nanny Septima.
Septima homeschooled the girl and taught her several muggle languages such as French, Russian and Lithuanian. The nanny also taught Eden how to ride horses, ball dance and even play the piano, despite the girl's lack of interest. However, when Eden discovered her magic abilities at the age of seven, her interest in learning rose. She would spend the whole day reading about the most dangerous magical creatures or trying to steal "Shrinking Solution" from her Father's study.
Because she was born in a wealthy pureblood family, none were surprised when Eden received her letter announcing her acceptance into Hogwarts. The only thing that worried her now was: will she be able to make her father proud.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Eden is a poise and graceful young lady. She never forgets how to act or be polite around others and because of this most of the adults enjoy her company. Eden is very calm and analytical. Therefore she does not jump to conclusions quickly. She is more likely to stand aside and let the fool be the in frontline. Academically, Eden is a well-rounded student, but she mostly excels in Potions. She enjoys the smell of burning wood under a cauldron and a possibility of an explosion, if something goes wrong.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Because Eden was raised and taught at home she never had friends of her age. It is hard for her to understand the meaning of friendship and most of the time she is cold and distant with her fellow pupils. She is also very stubborn and can hold a grudge against a person for a long period of time. Eden loves Care of Magical Creatures, even though she is horrible at this subject: creatures just do not listen to her. She is also very bad at Flying, because she is scared of heights, and on several occasions she refused to get on a broom.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: I feel that Eden belongs in the Slytherin house. She is ambitious and extremely pragmatic. She is capable of "pulling the strings" of other to get what she wants. Calm and devious, Eden never loses her head and that is why she is always right or at least, would never agree otherwise.
