Brief Childhood History:
Carrie was born on May 4, 1999 in London, England. She is the oldest child of Samuel and Elaine Gray. Shortly after their daughter's birth, Carries parents decided that London was not an optimal place to raise their children. When Carrie was just an infant, the family relocated to Cranleigh, a small village in Surrey, to be closer to Samuel's brother and his family. Carrie could never imagine living anywhere besides Cranleigh (Except Hogwarts of course!)
Carrie has two younger brothers, Liam (eight) and Henry (four). Like any good big sister, Carrie loves her brothers very much. However, that love is often overshadowed by annoyance. Carrie's best friend is her cousin Emma Claire. The girls were born only months apart and grew up just down the street from one another.
Carrie's childhood was fairly normal- even by muggle standards. She attended school at Cranleigh C of E Primary School. Carrie always took her school work seriously. Her parents always talked about the importance of a good education and Carrie really took their words to heart. Her days were often filled with school, homework, and chores. Her father provided well for the family with his job at the ministry of magic so Carrie's mother was able to stay home with her children. Plus, the family was well off enough to spoil their children sufficiently and Carrie is accustomed to getting what she wants. Carrie's mum has only recently returned to work (since Carrie's youngest brother has begun nursery school). The family now owns a bakery on the square in Cranleigh where Carrie's mother (much to her father's dismay) spends much of her time.
Strengths:Carrie is a very intelligent child. She is a hard worker and she prides herself on a job well done. She also has a very kind heart. Carrie is a good friend and a good listener. She believes that their is something special and important about everyone; that everyone has a hidden talent. Carrie is a very tolerant person. It is hard for her to see the bad in people which can cause her trouble. Additionally, Carrie has a budding love of artistic pursuits. She is a fair artist and writer. However, she would really like the opportunity to improve these skills. Academically, Carrie excels at Herbology, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Astronomy.
Weaknesses: Carrie is not very coordinated or athletically inclined. In all honesty, she is rather clumsy. (Her mum says she will outgrow this eventually.) Furthermore, Carrie has a fear of heights and she hates to fly. Of course, this means that she has no interest in Quidditch. To make matters worse, her dad played Quidditch during his years at Hogwarts and he really wants Carrie to play- which will NEVER happen. Academically, Carrie struggles in ancient runes and potions.
Which house do you believe your character belongs in and why? I believe that Carrie would fit in well with Ravenclaw house because of her love of knowledge and her work ethic.
