Please keep these things in mind while creating your character.

YOUR CHARACTER MUST BE BORN AND RAISED IN THE UK
Please keep in mind that according to J.K. Rowling, when a child possessing magical abilities is born in the UK, it is recorded into Hogwarts records.  When the time comes to send out letters, this is how the school knows who to send letters to.  If your character was born in another country, they wouldn't be on the Hogwarts mailing list.  Also, they would get letters from the schools of witchcraft and wizardry of the countries they were born in.

HOGWARTS IS NOT AN ORPHANAGE
It is okay to claim that your character is an orphan, but be prepared to answer questions from the approval staff or state clearly in your short background on how your character is able to attend Hogwarts.  If a child is an orphan, they would:

--Not have any money unless they KNOW their parents or some type of guardian to leave them money so they can buy their supplies/robes.

--If your character does not have any known guardians, then they will be put on an "ORPHAN LIST" and they will not be able to go to Hogsmeade when they reach their 3rd year.

CHARACTERS MUST BE HUMAN
This means that characters claiming to possess the ability of animagi, half animal, or really half-anything falls under the category of "special ability."  This needs to be approved by the Ministry of Magic before it can be role played.  Other special abilities that will delay your approval are characters claiming to be death eaters at a young age or vampires.

YOUR CHARACTER MUST BE 'NORMAL'
This means that you may not have any other 'special abilities' when you join the forum.   Even if it would be considered 'normal' to play those abilities as though you had them from birth, it is not something you can play here until you have proven to be an active, consistant member.  As stated above, if you do not follow these instructions, it will delay your approval.

We can not express how important it is to Read The Rules and the FAQs.  Please proceed to the HOW TO JOIN section to learn more, as most (if not all) questions are answered within these areas.

If you still have any questions, feel free to PM one of our Head Students

Thank you very much and happy role playing!

all my love for Tany
