First and Last Name: Zahara Almer
Physical Description: Zahara has very pale skin, jet black hair, and stands at a normal height of 5’. She is also quite skinny, though not in an ill way, and is not a particularly physical person, preferring much more to stay inside, especially on hot days. She has deep set green eyes, a small pointed nose and particularly red lips. Zahara doesn’t believe in makeup, and sees it as a waste of time and space, preferring instead just to look clean and healthy, which she does fairly well. Her clothing style has a little to be desired, after all, black and navy do not go, but it isn’t something to count against her, as she was brought up with a family who have no idea whatsoever of clothes.
Bloodline: Pureblood
Short Background: Zahara is a fully Scottish girl, and her father is called Dominic Almer, who married Raven McAdams. Zahara has two sisters, Faith and Hope. Faith is six years old, and Hope is nine, and they both hope that they will be able to get into Hogwarts like their elder sister. Zahara was brought up in a well to do family, being that they were not the stereotypical pureblood family; they did not have mounds of cash, but got by quite pleasantly. She enjoys most indoor activities, including reading, as well as playing the piano, which she has been diligently learning since the age of nine. Not long enough for her to be particularly good at it, but she is learning, and practices regularly. Zahara learns hip-hop dance, and has been having lessons at this since she was eight.
She doesn’t venture outside much, and isn’t terribly fond of animals, although she does have a cat whom she is bringing to school, who goes by the name of Hazel, only named after a great deal of arguing on Zahara’s part, who enjoys naming things in ways that don’t suit them. She is quite squeamish, although doesn’t mind getting a little muddy, as long as she is able to quickly displace it from everything. She is also very knowledgeable on plants, having read many books on Botany, because of a keen interest in the topic.
Strengths: Zahara is very kind, caring, and always tries to see people in their best light. She is quite good at some classes, these including Potions and Herbology, however she is not very good at wandwork, and her attempts at these often end up with disastrous results. Though she is a little frail, she will not hesitate to stand up for what she believes in, but will back down rather faster than most people, having not only respect for those older than her, but also possessing a rather meek worry about anyone above her height or age.
Weaknesses: Zahara is abysmal at wandwork, very weak, and does not often speak unless she is persuaded quite a fair amount. She tends not to participate very much in class discussions, not from lack of interest, but from a worry that she will embarass herself, and also because she is a little intimidated by those around her and does not like to draw unnecessary attention to herself. She will back down from a fight if anyone is above three inches taller than her, and gives in quite easily. She will argue a point for a while, but if anyone above her year intercepts, then she will stop immediately.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs in and Why: Zahara is a Hufflepuff, because though she is a pureblood, she has never been taught any of the pureblood rules that many other children are. She is a kind child, very calm, and tries to see the best in everyone, even if they have done wrong before.
