Brief Childhood History: Victory was born the middle child out of three. Her older brother is not magical, is age thirteen, and is at secondary school dreaming of being a photographer. Her younger sister has also showed no signs of being magical, at age eight, and is at primary school dreaming of marrying a football player. Her mother is a teaching assistant at her sister’s school and her father is a research assistant at St Mugoes.
The family never had much money, as neither salary was very good, and Victory got use to her father making un-funny jokes at the dining room table about having kids costing too much. Her parents insisted the entire family had dinner together every night and then do the washing up together without the use of magic, on her father’s part. Victory was always her father’s little girl, laughing at his jokes, aspiring to be like him, and often spending her free time doing her home-work in the reception of his work. It was her father that taught her to always work hard for everything and there is more to life than how much money you have.
Victory never understood her mother much. They had almost completely different personalities. But when it came down to it the main reason they did not get along was the only trait they had in common, they were both very stubborn. But despite the arguments Victory knew her mother loved her and they always made sure to spend time together at least once a week just to keep there relationship from falling apart. It was the same with her younger sister. A tomboy, even at age eight, compared to the much more girly Victory. She did however get on very well with her brother as they were only twenty two months apart despite the fact his immaturity sometimes annoyed her, even though she was younger.
Victory got on fine with the other children at her school. She was never overly popular but she had her own group of friends. Despite being happy enough she was thrilled, and somewhat relieved, when she got her Hogwarts letter. Her parents were worried that the fact she had never spent so much as a night away from home before might make it to scary for her to go to boarding school. But Victory had long since decided that she would be able to love her family even more than she did now, if she was doing it from a distance.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic):
Victory is good at fitting in, blending into the background, and doing exactly what people expect of her. She likes patterns, routine, order and doing everything to a schedule. She has a good memory and she is very organized. She would be good at theory based learning because of her organisation and because of her love of writing everything down. She keeps lists of pretty much everything. She treats everyone the same provided they do not affect her schedule. Victory believes in the power of positive thinking and the more that you put good thoughts out into the atmosphere the more good things happen to you. She would be good at charms because she is determined to master her magic and therefore make sure there is no part of her world not in her control. She does not hold grudges, because she has no time for them. Whilst she will get angry if insulted it will never last long. Victory is very driven. Her desire for control gives her a self-motivation to push herself and always strive to be better than not only her own personal best but also others.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic):
Victory does not believe in anything that does not make sense to her. She refuses to trust blindly, or just have faith. She is overly strict about her routine and almost obsessive with her lists and her patterns. She cannot eat if any of the food is touching each other, she has to talk in even worded sentences, and she writes literally everything down in her diary at the end of the day. She keeps a day planner style notice board on which everything is written. She will not do anything for anyone, unless it is commanded by an adult whom she respects like a teacher, unless it fits perfectly into her schedule. She is not really opposed to cheating, or doing what others might consider wrong, because morality does not always go with facts and logical reason. Victory would always chose superiority, logic and fact.
She does not like change or people doing things out of order, it distresses her. She would be no good at working with plants or animals as it is too unpredictable, and she could not have complete control over it. She also would not be good at astronomy or divination for the same reason. She would not be good at defence against the dark arts because it works on expecting the unexpected and Victory does not like change or anything is not completely planned before hand. Victory has a desire to control other people’s lives too. She hates other people being in charge of her. Therefore she needs to be the best. She also needs to constantly assure other people that she is better than them, even if she is not.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:
Victory would make a good Slytherin because she is driven, ambitious, and always keen to be better than others. Her morals are different from others as they are changed to suit her own needs. She also would rather be getting herself a good grade than risking anything by helping others. In the same way she would rather walk away from a fight and be seen a coward, than risk anything.
