First and Last Name: Artemisia Susvere
Bloodline: Pureblood
Hair Color: Jet Black
Eye Color: Blue
General Build: Thin, but not overly so. She is much stronger than she looks
Height: Approximately 5’2”; She will most likely take after her mother, however, and not grow past 5’5”.
Birthplace: In her family's ancestral home, located somewhere deep within the Himalayan Mountains.
Brief Childhood History:
Artemisia has always had a darkness about her. Whether it was because she was born the same day her grandparents were murdered, or simply luck of the draw, most people instinctively shied away from her as much as possible. She honestly didn't care. She liked her solitude, and she liked the darkness. Her behavior worried her poor mother, Regina, but her father, Marcus, couldn't care less. She was born into wealth, the kind of wealth that no human could possibly spend in one lifetime. It was rumored that one of her uncles got lost in their Gringotts vault for a week, unable to find his way out from the mountainous piles of galleons. The Susvere family had been amassing their wealth from, conceivably, the beginning of time. They were a very old wizarding family, but were rarely heard of because they normally lived in seclusion deep within the Himalayan mountains. It was only accessible through apparition, and very few people had ever been there. It was also guarded by the Fidelis charm, and as a result, only her family could even see the house.
From birth, Artemisia knew her father disliked her. He had wanted a son. Unfortunately, there were complications surrounding her birth, making her mother infertile, and her father had always blamed his only child. Her mother tried to compensate for the hatred directed at her daughter, and practically smothered her with affection, material belongings, and everything her heart could want. No one could seem to realize that all she wanted was solitude. This only got worse after her favorite cousin, Adelia, died. There was a lot of speculation surrounding her death, and no one ever told Artemisia how she died. Artemisia withdrew even further, refusing to speak unless spoken to, and even then only sometimes did she talk. She normally just sat in a corner of her parents' library and scowled at anyone who dared approach her. Her cousin had been the only person she could relate to, and with Adelia gone, she had no one. All she had was a hateful, abusive father, and an overprotective, overbearing mother. She was alone.
Things changed a month before her 11th birthday. Her parents had always fought, often coming to curses, but it had never been this bad. Artemisia retreated to her bedroom, sitting in a corner with her hands covering her ears. She had been through this enough times to know that it would all be over soon. Unfortunately, she was right. When it was quiet again, she entered the drawing room to see her mother's lifeless body sprawled across the floor, and her father, wand drawn, looking into the distance as if in a trance.
It wasn't long before her father sent her away to live with her aunt, her mother's sister, in London. Her aunt, Amelia, was nothing like Regina. She and her aunt developed a mutual understanding that neither particularly liked the other, but under the circumstances, they must learn to live with one another. Her 11th birthday passed without fanfare, much to Artemisia's delight, and it wasn't long before an owl delivered her Hogwarts acceptance letter. All Artemisia hoped for now was that people wouldn't insist on talking to her. She was scared, but no one was going to know. It was shortly after, while shopping in Diagon Alley for her school things, that Artemisia gained her first true friend after Adelia, a cat with fur as dark as her hair, whom she named Alan.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic):
Artemisia gained a strong love for Potions after running into some basic books on brewing in the family library, where she also found books on Arithmancy and Charms. She read them extensively, and while her knowledge is solely theoretical, she found she had a bit of an aptitude for those subjects.
Personality-wise, she is secretly very loyal, choosing not to be blatant about her emotions. Similarly, since she spends a lot of time watching people and their interactions, she is very intuitive and has gotten good at reading body language. She is also rather witty, her humor normally conveyed by dry sarcasm and well-veiled insults.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic):
Since she was brought up as a Pureblood, anything Muggle is completely foreign to her. Therefore, her greatest academic weakness is Muggle Studies. Aside from that, she also is a terrible flier, never liking the idea of being supported hundreds of feet in the air by something as flimsy as a broomstick.
After having witnessed her father murder her mother, Artemisia became very antisocial and mistrusting, preferring her solitude to the company of others. She also has had a certain gift for manipulation that was strongly discouraged by her mother, and praised (albeit rarely) by her father.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:
Slytherin; besides the fact that the majority of her family has always been in Slytherin, Artemisia has been brought up to consider those around her, not as friends, but as business associates, or temporary allies. She would find the blunt courage of Gryffindor too suffocating, and Hufflepuff too overbearing. Ravenclaw would be the only other logical choice, but while a Ravenclaw seeks knowledge for knowledge’s sake, she seeks knowledge for the express purpose of being able to protect herself. The more she knows, academically and about others, the more likely she can manipulate others to save herself.

Heya Artemisia and welcome to HPRPG~!
However, before we can sort you, there are some things that we're going to have to ask you to edit. First, we only ask for one word answers for the 'general build' and 'height', chosen from the three adjectives we give you on the sheet rather than exact measurements. Additionally, Artemisia needs to be born and raised somewhere in the United Kingdom and the Himalayans aren't located there. We're actually just looking for the city/country, if you will, such as London, England. ;3
As for her history, the mention of her father murdering her mother is a bit too... dark. ^^; Her mother can have been killed, as it happens, but maybe remove the exact explanation of what happens and leave it as her mother died? HPRPG is family friendly and we try to avoid those darker tones.
Once you've made the above changes just swap the title from 'pending' to 'edited' and we'll continue from there with the sorting.

As it's been over two weeks since we've last asked you to make changes, I'm going to deny this character sheet for now. Please feel free to post your sheet again at a later date with the requested changes! ;)
