First and Last Name: Jay Dicairus
Bloodline: Halfblood (Sorry that I put Unknown for my account, that was a mistake.)
Hair Color: Black hair, almost a silvery blue color and in a emo sort of style.
Eye Color: A faded green and gray color.
General Build: Average, moderately toned.
Height: Tall
Birthplace: England
Brief Childhood History: Jay grew up in a big time city within England, he had many acquaintances and effortlessly stood out from his classmates all through his muggle elementary schools. You see, Jay's parents were a huge hit in his local area. They had a social lifestyle and were famous for their wits, his father; a muggle, was nationally ranked in chess and his mother; a Gryffindor wizard, was a brilliant CEO. But it was because of this 'fame' that Jay became so detached from his parents, he always stood out for being so amazingly different from both of his parents. His mother was a redhead, and his father was brunette while Jay turned out to have black hair. He has his fathers wits and his mothers charisma but he never cared to use it, it seemed that Jay just was simply unmotivated throughout his childhood, he was more than capable of finishing school work but simply brushed it off unless it appealed to him, and he was more than capable of making friends but as soon as he got what he wanted from an acquaintance he moved on and they became nothing more to him.
Jay's only interest in life was always figuring out how people worked. When Jay turned 7, something changed about his habits. Rather than being suttle about his studies Jay's teachers and parents started noticing odd behaviour. It was almost as if he was manipulating his classmates, the adults were noticing patterns, Jay would meet someone interesting, he would learn about their personality; were they bullies or friendly? Then using that, he somehow changed their mindsets. Kids who were known for bulling him started having hallucinations and quickly became fearful of him, while the friendly kids seemed to obey his every whim. Of course this was exaggerated, Jay had no such power of mindcontrol just a slight spark of magic, yet the adults still decided to take action. His mother knowing full well the powers of a wizard confronted Jay about these patterns, and as Jay explained his unusual control over some things, his parents finally decided it was time to enroll him in a wizard's school for fear that he would figure out his wizard powers and begin using magic more consciously to control people. But even after Jay learned more about his power and how it was 'bad' to manipulate people, his fascination with the human mind and illusion never died.
Eventually though as Jay grew up, and was about to start his first years of wizard school at age 12, he did learn to be more social and fun loving, and open up more to his strengths in charisma and wit. He quickly dropped the habit of trying to always get his way and slowly but surely learned to love the arts of cinema and all things flashy. He shifted away from his cold solitude and mysterious attitude and on to a relaxed cool and collected fun lover, but his father despite Jay's improvement still has a secret fear of his son after discovering his powers of mind control, even if minor.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Jay has a talent for illusion spells and charms as well as some forms of alchemy because of his lifelong studies, and he often seems to be buried in books always craving to learn more. He also has a very artistic taste, and despite being the cool and collected relaxed type, loves, and is very skilled at; cinema and theatre arts as well as painting. When motivated and inspired he also makes brilliant work and will always show quick improvement.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): He can be a tad bit too cold and manipulative, as well as rude even if he doesn't intend to be. When he isn't interested in something he can't help but just ignore it, and he lacks a great amount of motivation due to his love for relaxing and just having fun rather than working, and is quite a slacker. He has very cat like characteristics and would much rather be just socializing out in the warmth of the sun, and he also shares the common feline HATE for water. (Due to an experiment gone wrong, he has an extreme phobia of drowning. )
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:
It's hard to say, because of his intelligence and natural logic I would say Ravenclaw, but he also would suit Slytherin because of his cunning attitude and that love of winning, whichever is open I suppose but Ravenclaw is my first choice.
ALSO I understand if his childhood is a bit unrealistic, the idea of mindcontrol was so intriguing to me that I couldn't help but give him that sort of personality. But if it's too abnormal I'm OK with changing it.

Anywhere it says 'Cinema', that's just what spell check corrected it to. If that is NOT the proper spelling I'm sorry, it's suppose to be cenima but I don't know which is the right spelling. Apologies.

Heya Jay and welcome to HPRPG~!
However, before we can sort you, there are a few edits that we need. ^^ Also, 'cinema' is correct, which is why the spell-check changed it to that. <3 First, can you please cut down the extra details on 'hair color' and 'general build'? We're mostly only looking for one-word answers. Also, you can change your character's blood status in your profile by going to 'profile > forum profile information' - it's in a drop-down menu.
As for his history, and this is just a small thing, but all magical students are already enrolled into Hogwarts at birth (so his parents wouldn't choose to enroll him) and he would start at the age of 11, like all students do. ^^
It isn't that the mind control is too unrealistic more than it's just... unrealistic for a child. In fact, mind control is really only plausible in the wizarding world through the cruciatus curse which, actually, only controls the body. Jay couldn't possibly manage this as a child. Additionally, the beginning of his strengths and some of his weaknesses throws me off a bit-- he studied alchemy his whole life? An experiment went wrong giving him a fear of drowning? What sort of experiments? Again, remember, all students at HPRPG start out at eleven. ^^;
Once you've made the above changes just change the title from 'pending' to 'edited' and we'll continue with your sorting from there.
