First and Last Name: Sophie Morgan
Bloodline: Half-Blood
Hair Color: Light Brown
Eye Color: Blue
General Build: Petite
Height: Short
Birthplace: London, England. However, she moved to Rushcliffe in Nottinghamshire when she was four, and this is where she grew up.
Brief Childhood History:
Sophie was born in London to Ben and Mary Morgan (Westley). Ben was a muggle. Mary was a squib. Ben had no idea about magic, and whenever they visited the Westley side of the family, the Westleys all pretended magic did not exist. The Westleys were a bit snobby and took little interest in Mary once they discovered she had no magic in her. When Sophie was four, she started to show small signs of magic. Ben was confused and thought Sophie was ill, but Mary told him the truth--that she comes from a magical family, though she cannot do magic herself. Ben felt betrayed and scared of the whole idea. He and Mary had a huge fight which ended in their divorce. Mary's mother, Clementine, brought Mary and Sophie to the town of Plumtree in Rushcliffe, Nottinghamshire, near where she lived in Normanton-on-the-Wolds. Sophie's grandmother was still ashamed of producing a squib, so she took an interest in Sophie but was still dismissive to her own daughter.
Sophie grew up in the country and has a distaste for the city. She spent much of her childhood on her grandmother's farm and spent more time with the animals than with other children. Her grandmother was very old-style British and insisted on molding Sophie into a proper young lady, often making Sophie feel inferior and incapable. Although Sophie was somewhat intimidated by her grandmother, there were two things the pair shared: love of animals, and cricket. Sophie's grandmother worked with dragons when she was young, and Sophie is fascinated by this. Sophie's grandmother also introduced Sophie to cricket, and Sophie is quite good at it. She plays in the local league and her grandmother always comes to watch.
Sophie's mother is also very present in her life and took it upon herself to teach Sophie all the muggle subjects she felt Sophie ought to know before she got absorbed in the Wizarding world. Sophie is especially interested in science, and she would love to learn more about and research the gene that makes a person magical or not; she is especially interested in this gene because of her mother being a squib. She wants to understand why her mother would not have magic if her grandmother has it. Sophie is still young and has no idea if a person being magical is as simple as acquiring a gene, but she wonders about it.
The other person present in Sophie's life is her Great Uncle Albert. Uncle Albert works in the Ministry. He is boring and grumpy all the time, and strongly disapproves of Sophie and her mother. He does not believe Sophie can amount to anything because both her parents are non-magical, and he often makes a point to forget--usually in front of her face--that Sophie can do magic. Sophie makes it a point to stay out of his way when he comes to visit.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic):
Personality-wise, Sophie is determined and has a great thirst to prove herself. She is thoughtful and curious, and sees things for their possibilities. She is not afraid to try new things.
Academically, Sophie's best class is probably Care of Magical Creatures. She is also quite good at Transfiguration and Potions, because she has a good understanding of properties.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic):
Personality: Sophie has somewhat of a low self-esteem. She feels inadequate, and she can also be quite defensive. She sometimes reacts impulsively, and she can withdraw into herself when she feels on edge.
Academically, Sophie does not love flying (she is not the biggest fan of heights), though she can do it to get through flying class. She also struggles with History of Magic.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:
I feel Sophie belongs in Gryffindor. Her determination and her thirst to prove herself open up the way for her to overcome fears and push herself to her limits. Sophie's potential points towards nerve and wit. She so badly wants to honor her mother and rise to be the best witch--and person--she can be, and I believe Gryffindor's values will help her down that path.

Since Gryffindor is closed at the moment, I'm going to stick you onto the waiting list. If at any point you would like to change Sophie's house, simply edit the sheet accordingly and reply here.
And on another note, in the future, remember to format your paragraphs so that there's only one empty line between them. This just makes it easier to read so things don't look clunky. ;)
