Brief Childhood History: Ruric was born to Resfalgo and Cavella Baltzaar, a respectable yet austere pureblood wizarding family. He is the youngest of two; with an older brother named Raltzic, who has gone on to work in The Ministry of Magic alongside his father. It is believed that both are Unspeakables, though this is assumed by Ruric, as neither has ever spoken a word about their respective jobs. His mother is a retired Potioneer who specialized in healing potions. Both his parents are considerably older than the average parent, most noticeably by the long gray streak in his father's hair and his mother's wrinkled cheeks. Raltzic is also considerably older, so Ruric spent most of his childhood feeling very different from other kids his age. He has never felt close to his family, the most venerable and least uptight of the Baltzaars. He grew up on the ancient Baltzaar manor, built on a moor far from the bustling cities. He spent the majority of his childhood imagining and playing pretend while roaming the barren, damp moor on his own. He knows very little about his family history, though his grandparents uphold the elitist doctrine of their blood. Ruric is unclear how his parents feel on the subject, never showing any bias during muggle discussion. His brother is a staunch advocate for pureblood wizardy, but Ruric doesn't understand blood purity's purpose, thus, dismisses it's relevance. Ruric was born on March 31st.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Ruric is quiet, but more accurately, stoic. He is an imaginative loner. His deepest wishes are to uphold his family's name and respect among the wizarding community, but not at any cost. He has a moral base, an understanding of right and wrong that drives him in his actions. He is loyal, intelligent, perceptive, and strong. He values goals and pride. His academic strong suit would be Potions, but he has a real gift for Defense Against the Dark Arts.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): He is socially awkward without a strong sense of humor. He can be aggressive and short tempered, and fears becoming like his brother. He is not too keen on transfiguration.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: I feel Ruric belongs in Slytherin house. He is ambitious and seeks his family's approval, as his father, mother, and brother were all members of Slytherin house. He is someone who has the potential to succeed in Slytherin for all the right reasons; pushing himself to achieve his goals and eventually taking his place among the names of great wizards.
