Brief Childhood History: : Margery was born the 21st day of June to Scott and Miriam Meyer in York, England. Her father, Scott works for the Ministry of Magic regarding Muggle Affairs. He himself attended Hogwarts in his youth. Her mother, Miriam is a social studies teacher at a local private school. Margery is the second of (currently) three children in the Meyer Family. Her brother, Shaun is older by two years. Although he does not have magical abilities, he excels at nearly everything he does. Her sister, Sophia is younger by seven years and is the baby of the family.
While attending primary school, Margery was an exceptional student. She was well known by her peers and consistently received good marks from her teachers. Growing up with a teacher for a mother, school had always played a significant role in her life. Margery also shared her mother’s interest in history, which was her best subject by far. Outside of school, Margery’s real passion lied within the arts. Margery had been taking dance lessons since she was five, and spent many of her afternoons at the dance studio. Naturally, this is where she made most of her friends. Margery’s friends valued her enthusiasm, positive energy, and her contagious smile. They also respected her bravery, as she was always the first to try and demonstrate new steps and choreography. Margery was also one of the few who would stand up to the studio bully, Emily. Her quick-witted and sassy attitude towards Emily occasionally got Margery into trouble.
Margery was a late bloomer when it came to showing any magical ability. Her parents were beginning to wonder if she would not have any magical ability, like Shaun. Finally, when she was ten years old, strange things began to happen. First, her pair of dance shoes which had become severely worn and weathered due to regular rehearsing became like new overnight. Assuming her parents had purchase her a new pair, she was quite surprised to find out that they had not touched them. Next, as Margery argued with the studio bully, Emily in the coat room, a bag flew off a shelf with enough force to knock Emily to the ground. A few days later, Margery received her letter announcing her acceptance into Hogwarts.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Margery is a fairly optimistic individual, which allows her to be positive about almost any situation. Margery is loyal to those who she becomes close with and her bravery allows her to try new things. Academically, Margery is hard working and pushes herself until she is successful. Margery may be successful in History of Magic, due to her interest in history. She will also show new interest in Transfiguration, and may be intrigued by the different perspectives in Muggle Studies.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): When thrown into new settings, Margery comes off as introverted. However, once she becomes familiar with her surroundings she will be alright. Occasionally, Margery’s tongue travels faster than her mind, which may lead her to say things she later regrets Academically, Margery may struggle with Defense Against the Dark Arts due to her naive and upbeat personality.
