General Build: Petite

Birthplace: Notting Hill, London, England, UK.
Brief Childhood History:
Susan Baker was born to a high-standard, important pureblood family. Despite their influence, they considered themselves too good to be out in the world, and reserved themselves to their estate in the northwest of England. Although being raised into a rather elitist small close family, her modern views of equality had always been frozen upon. Her curiosity towards the outer world and her interested fascination with the muggle world led to her family to cut off every possible contact of hers with the muggle world. Once she reached the age of eleven, Susan went to Hogwarts and got sorted into Ravenclaw, due to her witty brain, endless curiosity and want to learn. Her parents, however, weren’t particularly glad, having held a line of Slytherins and upholding what the Slytherin house rose for. They were disappointed to find no ambition what-so-ever in Susan. Susan succeeded excellently at Hogwarts, having become Head Girl, and graduated with good grades and prospects for her future. Nonetheless, she decided to follow through with her passion and enrolled at an Italian Baker Academy. After finishing her education there, Susan moved back to England and settled in Notting Hill, London. There, she opened her bakery. By this point in her life, Susan had no contact with her family except with her brother Richard, with whom she usually met up once a month. Richard, at the age of twenty five, married another pure blood named Mandy.

At the age of twenty three, Susan was a full blown muggle, and renounced anything magic related years ago. On one night out with her friends, they met up with other connections and amongst these was a dashing Irish tourist named Sean. Least to say that his visiting was delayed for a year, the duration of their relationship. Then the big bomb hit: Susan was pregnant. There were worries in her mind about the baby’s possible magical blood, but she kept them all hidden. They were rather happy for the duration of her pregnancy, even if Sean had always been a bit restless about being a father (commitment didn’t fall too well with him, and he was ashamed that the first thought he had when he heard the news was that he had to bail). Soon enough, though, after nine quick months, Ella was born. Susan had found that she could no longer avoid telling Sean about her true character and decided it wiser to tell him up front before he had to be confronted with a clear manifestation of magic. In her first day back home from the hospital, after putting the baby to sleep, Susan told Sean about magic and how Ella may have it in her. He, of course, having been uneasy about having responsibilities, found it, subconsciously, the best excuse to get away. They had a big fight about how she was deceiving him, and trying to trick him and that she was completely insane, and he returned to Ireland same day.

Susan raised a quiet, happy child, a big fan of fruit, pastel colours and of drawing and painting. Since she was small, she loved colouring books, and painting with her fingers. As she grew older, she started sketching and was rather good for her age. Ella grew as a curious thing, loving to learn how things work, and she grew completely unaware that there was magic in her family or that magic even existed. Her family was seriously limited, for she didn’t know her father or anyone from her father’s side and she didn’t know the rest of her family except for Uncle Sean, who she had met three or four times and always sent birthday and Christmas gifts. However, small, unexplainable accidents kept happening as Ella grew up: paint bottles that she had accidentally turned over would suddenly go back to having not been spilled, things out fly out to her and other small events of the sort. The strongest happened when Ella was eight. She was deadly afraid of the vacuum cleaner: it just freaked her out, the sucking the air and she childishly thought that everything that was sucked would end up in a black hole of void. She had tripped on it in the living room, and it suddenly turned on to life. She screamed and it was sent flying across the room. Her mother, as for what happened to her father, gave no explanation to Ella and told her to leave it alone. Avoiders, they both were. After her first magical manifestations, even though her mother had tried to avoid touching the subject for so long, Susan spoke of the magical world in a very cold, objective and vague way. However, it was enough for Ella to be deadly curious about it. Her mother reluctantly took her to Diagon Alley for the first time, where Ella was allowed to acquire a couple of books on different matters. She was cut away from magic for all the extent afterwards, having only the books she owned and not daring to ask her mother any questions. The subject was completely dropped until her letter for Hogwarts came. Then, they went once again to Diagon Alley, and her mother seemed very averse to the whole thing but didn’t stop Ella from attending.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic):
Ella is, amongst other things intellectually related, a quick learner, hard thinker, observant and curious little thing. She likes to learn a bit of everything, and she prefers to know how things work. Ella is generally a nice person; she doesn’t seek out to be mean. She is determined, strong willed and sympathetic. She can be extremely passionate and compassionated, if the chance presents itself.  She is considerate, friendly and generous. Ella is honest, sometimes painfully honest, interested and modest. Ella has a great skill to distance any feelings from important decisions and be objective. She is independent and good under pressure and respectful. Ella is organized, which leads her to be bossy sometimes. Despite the awkwardness of her social interaction, Ella is friendly.

Ella will always prepare for classes, trying to study the subject beforehand, even if lightly.  Her best subjects will be Astronomy (due to her creative mind, she’ll love to explore the skies), Charms and Potions (she’ll like the rigor of Potions).

Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic):
Ella is extremely stubborn and often enough a know-it-all, which leads to her not giving in to whenever she may be wrong. Her temper is usually of a calm, indifferent one, which makes her look cold and distant to whoever may approach her. This may wrong her in the future, for even if she doesn’t display that much care or emotion, she will realize upon certain situations, that she does value feelings. Ella has a good hard time forgiving people that may have wronged her, and when she gets mad, she will be all screams and shouts. Ella is hardly ever motivated for things, every action for the future or plans sound dull to her. She isn’t, therefore, ambitious. She is generally negative, unable to find good points on most situations, and a serious perfectionist. Everything she does will either be brought to perfectness or be left alone. She is rash and thoughtful at the same time, depending on the situation at hands. Her deadly flaw will be the fact that she is an utter avoider. If something goes wrong, she will avoid it and ignore it at full strength.  Ella also has an assortment of fears, more of the physical matter. Her biggest would be the unknown and the dark.

Ella, despite liking to paint landscapes, will not enjoy working on them, and so her performance in Herbology won’t be half as good as in other classes. She will also be more weak at Care for Magical Creatures by lack of patience, and she just won’t get her things right with Transfiguration.

What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:
Ella is a Ravenclaw in every way. She is eager to learn, loves to do so, has a quick and smart mind. She hasn’t got the noble mind and braveness of a Gryffindor, nor the ambitious and cunning character of Slytherin. She is loyal, like a Hufflepuff, and a hard worker, but her Ravenclaw traits overcome the Hufflepuff in majority and importance.
