Brief Childhood History: Viola’s mother is a muggle and her father is a squib. Her father chose to leave the magical world behind because he felt he did not belong there, and eventually married Viola’s mother. He never told Viola or her mother about his magical family or the wizarding world.
Viola spent the first 8 years of her life believing she was a muggle. She attended muggle school, and was always praised by the teachers for her intelligence, skipping a couple of grades. Because she was younger than many of her classmates, and was small for her age, Viola was often picked on by bullies. She did not fit in with any of the kids her age, and became very reserved, preferring the company of books to that of people. One day when she was 8, a bully stole her book and ran away with it. Viola wanted her book back desperately, and then the book flew out of the bullies hands and landed where Viola was standing 5 feet away. When her father heard about the incident, he knew that Viola was a witch, and deserved to know the truth about herself. He told Viola and her mother about the wizarding world and how he was a squib, but Viola’s mother refused to believe him. Viola, on the other hand, thought her father’s explanation made perfect sense. When Viola’s mother saw that Viola believed her father, she became angry and left the family, never to be heard from again. Viola and her father were heartbroken. Her father was determined to find his wife and make her believe him, so he sent Viola to live with his parents, who she had never met and he had not spoken to since he left the wizarding world. Viola begged her father not to leave her, but he promised to write to her every day.
While she lived with her grandparents, Viola learned all about the magical world. She was amazed by it, and decided she wanted to learn everything she possibly could. Her grandparents gave her many books about magic, which she devoured. She often tried “testing” her magic, but was very sneaky and never got caught doing something she shouldn’t be. Her father’s letters slowly stopped coming, and she became angry at him for lying to her and abandoning her. She was also angry at her mother for leaving her. Her grandparents were the only people she could trust after her parents left, although many kids she met wanted to be her friend, as she was very mischievous and could pull off great pranks. When she turned 11 she got her Hogwarts letter, as she knew she would, and began reading all of her schoolbooks before the year started, so she would be able to impress the teachers with her knowledge.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Viola is very intelligent and witty. She loves to read and learn. She is very ambitious, confident, and competitive, and sets high goals for herself that she plans to accomplish no matter what. She is very logical and loves to be challenged. She is also sneaky and mischievous, but is calm under pressure and can get out of just about anything. She would be good at most of her subjects, especially those that require quick thinking and knowledge found in textbooks, such as DADA, transfiguration, and charms.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Viola is very reserved and cynical, as she did not have many friends growing up and is not very trusting of people. She is confident, but sometimes arrogant, and thinks everything should come easily to her. She can be selfish at times, and when it comes to competition or being the best at something she is ruthless. She would be bad at any subject she does not feel is important enough for her, such as History of Magic and Herbology.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Viola belongs in Slytherin. She is intelligent and clever, however unlike Ravenclaws she is more concerned with being successful than she is with learning. She is ambitious and will do whatever it takes to get what she wants. She is cunning and can talk her way out of just about anything.

Hiya! Welcome to HPRPG! :biglove: We're so glad you've joined our little corner of the role-playing world. Before we can get Viola sorted, I need you to make some changes to her sheet. Nothing too painful, promise! ^^
In her 'Weaknesses,' could you also name an academic weakness that she has actually taken? She won't have the chance to take CoMC or Divination until third year. While it's great to know that in theory she won't enjoy them, I need one or two current academic weaknesses. ^^
