: YOU MAY ONLY START WITH ONE CHARACTER

More times than I can count in the past month or so we have discovered or been told of people playing multiple characters.  The rules clearly state that unless you have administrative approval, you may only play one character!

This is a rule that was put in place for many reasons.  Here are a few:

1 - Creating a large, strong member base

The rule was originally put into place so we could create a large, consistent member base of people who role played consistently.  Once we felt the member base was strong, we allowed members to apply for approval to create a second character.

2 - To encourage development of characters.

If you are only playing one character, you get to know that character very well!  You learn and grow as a role player if you play one character for an extended amount of time!

3 - To keep our role players active!

This is a big one!  For many beginning role players, playing one character is a big enough job in and of itself!  You might think you are ready for more than one character, but if you haven't developed your first character it will become pretty obvious to you (and others) that you can't keep up with both and make quality posts.

These are just some of the reasons we restrict our role players to one character.  Please respect the rules in place.  All rules we make are made for a reason  It hurts other incoming members if you decide to break this rule because you are taking up house spots that could go to others if you hadn't created additional players.  You also hurt current players when you are unable to keep up with the posts.

If you are currently playing two characters and would like to come clean, please PM me and let me know who you are playing and which you'd like to continue playing.  I am not going to be mad at you, but you need to be fair to everyone else.

If I find out that you are playing two characters and you didn't come clean about it, that is when I start to get upset ;)

Thank you all for reading (the three of you who manage to find and read this ;) and I hope you all understand that it is for the good of the role play and the board that this rule is in place - it is not a punishment.

Thanks!
