First and Last Name: Elliot Dumont

Physical Description: Elliot has rather short brown hair which can be spiked or just lay flat depending on his mood. He has hazel eyes, but more on the green side, as well as a medium skin tone. He is at an average height for an 11 year old, around 4'10 and a half. His oval shaped head adorns a hard to read yet baby cute face, in addition to a small smile (which is usually only a smirk). He is quite athletic and has a relatively fast metabolism, even though he eats like a pig. (He feels this might catch up to him in the future)

Bloodline: Half-blood

Short Background:

Jonathon Dumont, Elliot's father, was born to a wizarding family in Liverpool, England, consisting of a 5 person family and a proud line of former Ravenclaws, hence Jon’s place as a Ravenclaw throughout his years at Hogwarts. He attended along with his younger Ravenclaw sister by 2 years, Beatrice, and older Ravenclaw brother by 3 years, James. Both his parents were Ravenclaws as well and it has dated as far back as the time of its opening.

Nancy Oswald, Elliot's mother, was born to a muggle family in Greece. She lived there through most of her childhood and moved to England when she was 13 years old. There she entered high school and continued her studies at Oxford University, trying to ultimately become a registered nurse, though she never finished college, due to her money and medical issues, and instead ended up getting a job as a Real Estate Agent in Coventry, which is northwest of London.

Jonathon Dumont has a successful job working as a banker in Gringotts (curse breaking, to be more specific. He's one of the top arithmacers in England and was hired by Goblins to fufill this job which pays a good sum of money). Elliot’s parents met when Jon was looking for a house in the countryside and the woman selling the particular home he fancied, happened to be Nancy, his soon-to-be wife. They dated and fell in love. After finding out about his magical abilities, she was a bit weary. To be honest, she did not believe him at all. He explained everything to her and eventually Nancy understood the magical world, somewhat, and knew she had to break the news to her parents, which was difficult as well.

Their parents had never met each other before, not until the rehearsel dinner before their wedding 2 years later, and after that disastrous night, something told the engaged couple that a difficult future lay in store for them. Eventually everything worked out as much as it possibly could, and they were married. A year later, their first son William was born, who is now 21 years old. 6 years later, Elliot’s second oldest brother was born, Jeremy, who is now 15 years old, and Elliot was born on the 21st of May, 4 years after that. Elliot’s brother, William, graduated from Hogwarts and is currently in training to become an Auror, one of the most difficult and challenging jobs in the wizarding world, but one William has a passion for. Elliot’s second oldest brother, Jeremy, attends Winston Public High School in Coventry, England. Jeremy is the only son of the three to be born non-magical.

Growing up over the past 11 years, Elliot has been known as the “mini William”, as he was always looking up to his older brother, 10 years his senior, and trying to be just like him in every way he could. Jeremy, however, was the middle child who liked to pick on Elliot and tended to beat him up quite a bit sometimes, although William always told him it’s just because Jeremy's jealous that he doesn’t have magical powers like they do. The Dumont family is run quite differently compared to most wizarding families. Jeremy hasn't been allowed to talk to anyone non-magical about his families’ magic, which is hard for him, and a good majority of Nancy’s friends, aside from her immediate family, know nothing of her two magical sons and magical husband, either.

Elliot is very close with his father - a hardworking and dedicated man. Due to his muggle mother and wizard of a father, Elliot is very much in key with what is currently going around him in both the wizarding world as well as the muggle world. He's found it hard to adjust to his parents coming from two completely different worlds, at times, which can sometimes create a lot of disagreements in their household, but was more than glad to witness he had magical powers.

Being a muggle and all, Elliot's mother insists that only a limited amount of magic can be used at home. For his father, who by his age magic is simply first nature and he cannot function without it, this is difficult and more times than not, Elliot's father is running the house by magic, against his mother's commands. Even when William comes home from training, she rather have him not do magic, which William finds extremely hard to do as well. This creates a lot of tension at home between the magical and non magical and sometimes Elliot finds it hard to cope and tends to stray away from the chaos in his bedroom in the attic.

Strengths: Elliot is intelligent and has always been eager to learn new and exciting things. He was always asking “why” as a child, and demanded to know the answer to questions unanswerable such as “why is the sky blue?” Elliot was read to a lot as a child, and his brother William would often tell him all about the world of magic and Hogwarts school, which made Elliot even more anxious to go and he prayed that he had undiscovered magical abilities, too. Elliot is the type of boy who retains information easily; think of him as a sponge if you’d like. He tends to remember things, even the smallest details most people would ignore. He’s very good with names and numbers and has somewhat of a photographic memory. Elliot is also very confident. He takes pride in what he does and does not need constant approval. He can make his own decisions and judge himself. Elliot doesn't usually ask for an opinion from anyone, other than William, who he considers to be the only one whose opinion truly matters. Elliot has somewhat of an odd sense of humor and finds himself laughing at things that most people think aren’t all that funny. He has a sharp tongue and sarcastic nature to him which can either be likeable or not, depending on who’s around him. Nevertheless, he is usually making someone, somewhere, laugh like a hyena. Some think of Elliot as charming, for an eleven year old, a gentleman, er boy, you could say. His actions always make you curious. Some of Elliot’s other strengths include his neatness; he’s usually not messy and likes to keep things in somewhat of an order, often making himself a to-do list every now and then. Elliot is also very honest and laid back most of the time. You’ll never find him high-strung unless he’s trying to study for an important test or something. To those who are his friends, he is loyal, but he certainly won’t hesitate to lie if he feels it is needed.

Weaknesses: Elliot is very close-minded and tends to stick with his instincts. Rarely will he go out on a limb and try something new, unless he grows bored and then he will only do it on HIS terms. He can be somewhat critical of others and not to mention brutally honest, which can go to an extreme of just a little too honest. It ultimately ends up in the hurting of someone’s feelings. Sometimes if Elliot gets really bored, he’ll find amusement in confusing other people, which was something William used to do to Jeremy as a child, and Elliot happened to pick up on it. He is also sometimes too competitive and turns everything into a bet or a race to the finish line. Elliot likes the feeling of success and gets grouchy if he loses. Some would consider him a sore loser. He can be lazy, as well. When it comes to his physical appearance, he doesn’t spend much time making himself look presentable. He likes his natural look. He is very hygienic but does not care to dress in the latest trends or most expensive robes. He’ll wear what’s comfortable and what looks decent (although his family can certainly afford them if he wanted). Most people question what goes on in his mind because his face is hard to read. He seems almost stoic at times which is hard for people to know how he feels unless he tells you directly. He can also be quite judgmental, which goes along with his critical nature. He is also somewhat naive about girls and tends to act is if they were annoying.(although deep down he doesn't entirely feel that way)

The House you feel your Character belongs in and why: Elliot is intelligent, determined, and has strong willpower. He’s competitive, goal-driven, and possesses a sharp tongue. He is not friendly and out-going all the time, like a Hufflepuff, nor brave and daring like a Gryffindor. He does not need to be in the spot-light 24/7 and he isn't as cunning as a Slytherin. His father and older brother were both Ravenclaws, as the entire line of Dumont’s were.
